ANNOUNCING A KNOWLEDGE SHARE AGREEMENT WITH BOARDING SCHOOL CONCERN

Boarding School Concern is a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation, renowned for its annual Boarding School Survivor’s conference. Its vision is to create a cultural shift by shining a light on the impact of boarding school - becoming a beacon of hope so every former boarder feels safe, heard and understood.

We are delighted to announce that Boarding School Concern and LSBU’s Boarding School Research Hub have set up a knowledge-sharing partnership, building on our shared commitment to establish a robust evidence base to inform and guide service provision, sector practices and policy for the boarding school sector.

Directors of Boarding School Concern will contribute to the BSR Members’ Forum. The two organisations will keep each other informed about research findings, sector developments and research priorities, through formal quarterly knowledge exchange meetings. Both will also share sector and research news in their newsletters and social media.

Pippa Palmer, founder of the Boarding School Research Hub, is one Boarding School Concern’s seven directors, all of whom give their time voluntarily and without remuneration to support those affected by boarding. Pippa will act as the research conduit between the two organisations. As Pippa’s biography on the Boarding School Concern website explains, she came to be involved in Boarding School Research through lived experience, and runs the Boarding School Research Community of Practice as an adjunct to her formal role at London South Bank University.
